Candlestick - work in progress (a continuously evolving sculpture in wool, metal & photography)

"Life is built up in a series of fragmented layers; mixing up images and experiences, entwining each other: memories. My art enhances and explores the idea of layers, each covering another, leaving sections exposed to glimpse another reality. Most household dust is made up of dead human skin which people unknowingly disperse into the air. Layers of dust cover everything, transforming and equalising to the same hue. The effect is to soften the objects. The deeper the layers of dust the softer the edges of the object become."
