Concrete. Sculpture started in
1999 which includes deterioration and change as the essential
part of the structure. It is at present sited outside the Pheonix
gallery in Brighton.
"A moth lands on clothes
in a drawer. The reformation of positive space into negative space
occurs, questioning the nature and vulnerability of the material
that forms the objects. A solid structure which still displays
its vulnerability has a way of questioning the nature of existence.
The human condition being like
a series of crevices being eaten away from trapping layers of
solids. Fossils encased on all sides by rock, hidden from the
eye, only unearthed by a chance occurence."
